What is Girl Power Hour?
Girl Power Hour is the celebration by the kidlit community of the International Day of the Girl. On October 11th, each year, kidlit creatives come together to celebrate and promote the representation of all girls in kidlit as well as support diversity. This year we will celebrate with an all day #kidlit conference! Hone your kidlit craft and learn about the business of kidlit with strong women in the industry. Opportunities for FREE mentor sessions will be raffled throughout the day. Location: Girl Power Hour 2023 conference will take place via Zoom platform. Time: The conference runs from 9am through 4pm (Eastern). All sessions will be recorded for later reviewing by registrants. Includes: + All day access to presentations by industry experts. + Access to a virtual "break room" throughout the day where you can mix & mingle with presenters and other registrants to grow your community. + Opportunity for FREE mentor sessions and other goodies raffled throughout the day. + Access to presentation recordings to listen & learn as often as you'd like through October 2023. +Open above the slush pile submissions to Yeehoo Press and The Little Press.
